Mrs. Maude A. Madison died yesterday in the Muncey Nursing Home at the age of 75. She had been ill for three years. Mrs. Madison is survived by four daughters, Mrs. George W. Green, of Waukegan; Mrs. Betty Suter and Mrs. Carl Peter, both of Springfield; Mrs. L. A. Moore, of Alton; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. William Volker and Mrs. John Payne, both of Springfield; Mrs. Andrew Litchenburger, of Decatur; a brother, Charles Lancaster, of Springfield.
Mrs. Madison was born April 2, 1882, in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of Angus and Harriet Jeffries Lancaster. She had been a resident of Springfield for 60 years and was a member of the West Side Church of Christ. Her husband, Louis F. Madison, died six years ago.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow in the Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
