Major League Baseball Player. He played 14 seasons in the major leagues as a pitcher for the Louisville Colonels, Cleveland Spiders, Boston Beaneaters, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. He appeared in 433 games during his big league career, making his major league debut on April 19, 1896 at the age of 22. He threw a no-hitter for the Philadelphia Phillies in a ten to nothing win over the Chicago Cubs on September 18, 1903 and was a member of the 1907 and 1908 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs. He made his final major league appearance on May 3, 1909. He retired from the major leagues with 175 career wins and 212 losses.
