OBIT: Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home for Roger 0. Ruff, 64, of 1203 E. Nevada St., who died Feb. 13 at MMSC of an apparent heart attack. The Rev. Greg Frost will officiate with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Born in Toledo on April 25, 1924, he was the son of Floyd J. and Sareva Eldridge Ruff. He married Shirlee Hartsell Sept. I I, 1947 in Kirksville, Mo., and she survives.

He graduated from Toledo High School. Following service in World War II with the U.S. Army, he came to Marshalltown and has lived here since. He owned and operated several service stations and more recently owned Rogers Auto Service on South 6th Street. He attended the Center Street Baptist Church and was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Also surviving are five children, Cheri Reynolds of Golden Colo., Cindi Hodgdon and Rodney Ruff of Marshalltown, Candi Vernon of West Des Moines and Cristi Pfantz of Melbourne; 10 grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister, Roben W. Wage of Phoenix, Ariz, Ronald D. Ruff, of LeGrand and. Marjorie Williamson of Smyrna, Ga.
