Illness Fatal to Wife of Attorney: Funeral Friday
Mrs. Jennie F. Clark, 63, wife of Attorney John H. Clark, died last night at 9 at the home at 301 Franklin Street. In failing health for the last three and one half years, her condition had been critical since before the holidays.
Mrs. Clark was born in Dudley Township, Hardin County, on March 25, 1876, daughter of Ephraim E. Smith, a native e of Logan county,. Her marriage to Mr. Clark took place in Kenton on Nov 8, 1899.
Mrs. Clark was a member of Epworth Methodist Church, Circle 7 of the ladies’ Aid society, the Woman’s Home and Foreign Missionary societies and Lydia Chapter No. 83, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving with the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Clark Arter, at home, and two grandchildren, Jackie and Sue Arter.
The funeral will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the home and at 2:30 at Epworth church. Dr. Edward T. Waring, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be made in Marion cemetery. Friends may call at the Curtis Home for Funerals this afternoon from 4:30 until 6 p.m. and at the home after 7 p.m.

Funeral of Mrs. John H. Clark was conducted today at 2 p.m. a the home at 301 Franklin Street and at 2:30 at Epworth Methodist Church. Dr. Edward T. Waring, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in Marion cemetery. Pallbearers were E. L. Bush, M. L. McDaniel, Earl T. Smart, F. C. Gegenheimer, Jay Vaughan and Floyd Barrett. Mr. Barrett represented the junior department of the Epworth Sunday school in which Mrs. Clark was a teacher for many years. Mrs. Clark died Tuesday night after a long illness.
