She was born in Ritchie County on January 23, 1925 a daughter of the late Harold and Wanda Cottrill Toothman.
Mrs. Zinn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years Gerald "Shorty" F. Zinn in October of 2000.
She was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had worked for Sears and 25 years as a teletype operator.
During WWII, she met her late husband while working at an airplane factory in Baltimore as a "Rosie the Riveter".
Louise was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Pleasant Valley Homemakers Club. She was also a member of the Women of the Elks and the Sharing and Caring Cancer Support Group. She was also an active volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Drives. She enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting. Most important to her was her family, each of whom she loved adored.
She is survived by her sons, Pastor Jim Zinn and his wife Mary Frances of Fairmont and Jerry Zinn and his wife Shirley of Meadowdale; five wonderful grandchildren and their spouses, David and Rachel Zinn of Virginia, Jeffery and Margarita Zinn of Illinois, James W. and Christina Zinn of Virginia, Amy Louise and Tim Lambert of Fairmont and Mark A. and Christina Zinn of Fairmont and thirteen great grandchildren, Katherine, Kiersten, Alexsa, Matthew, Lucas, Jacob, Sawyer, Zachary, Espen, Kaiden, Jaxon, A. J. and Aeriele; a sister Eleanor Waybright of Enterprise. And a sister-in-law Geraldine Boyce of Fairmont and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Toothman, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Glen Waybright.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, from 1pm to 8pm Sunday and from 10am to 11am on Monday. The funeral service will be at 11am on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Andrew Tennant officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
