STEPHEN SWETLIK

Stephen Swetlik, Sr., 76, of Reif Mills and a lifelong resident of the Town of Kossuth, died unexpectedly Saturday morning.
Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph Kalisek officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Swetlik was born July 27, 1886, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late John and Anna Kugel Swetlik. He married Katherine Kalcik Jan. 30, 1909, at Racine. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Kossuth until 1946 and then moved to Reif Mills. He was employed at Weyerhauser Co., Manitowoc, for more than four years. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in 1959.

Among survivors are his wife; two sons, Edward of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Steve of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel Krueger of Glenbeulah, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Gerl of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren .

Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock this Monday evening.
