Glenn C. Jones, 77, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004, at a local hospital.
Mr. Jones was the original baritone singer with the Happy Harmony Quartet, former choir director, Sunday school teacher, and Sunday school superintendent. He was of the Church of God faith, and preceded in death by his parents, Dennie P. and Mattie Mizell Jones.
Survivors, wife, Ruth Jones of Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law, Denny C. and Vanessa Jones of Trenton; grandsons, Dennie P. Jones II and Anthony C. Jones, both of Soddy-Daisy, and Charlie Bisinger of Trenton; granddaughter, Beth Lawson and husband, Andy, of Trenton, Ga.; sisters, Laurel Pettitt and Thelma Richie, both of Chattanooga; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Otis Clingan and the Rev. James Blackmon officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Pallbearers are Dennie P. Jones II, Andy Lawson, Charlie Bisinger, Billy Clingan, Robert Green and Larry Walker.
The family will receive friends from noon-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
