(Elzie) Elsie Preiss was born in Germany 20 Dec 1869. She arrived in New York Sept 18, 1873 aboard Thurengia. She married Robert Edwin Hillger 26 Dec 1888 in Abilene, Texas. She had a daughter that died there in 1889 and also one in 1896. From what I have found, this Hillger family was in Abilene from about 1888 to at least 1910. Some of them then moved to San Diego between 1900 and 1910 where they lived the rest of their lives. There are also some that stayed in Texas.
It is possible that her father or brother might be George Charles Priess (fag # 152670445) who is buried in the same cemetery as her daughters. He was married to her husband's sister Mathilda Hillger, but I have no proof their relation. They were all Germanic immigrants that came to America about the same time and lived in Abilene at the same time.
