1904 May 07, Sat - Daily News-Democrat (Huntington, IN) Engineer John Wonderly received a telegram from Chicago Friday evening notifying him of the death at Oak Park, Ill., of James Douglass, a former Erie engineer. Death was due to cancer. Mr. Wonderly was in Chicago today and called at the Douglass home. The remains will pass through Huntington this evening on train No. 8 for Marion, Ohio, where the funeral will be held Sunday. Several engineers from this city will probably attend. Douglass is well known on the Erie and formerly ran into this city.
