Kenneth Ray Bush, age 67, a longtime Atoka, Oklahoma resident was born on Monday, August 16, 1948 to Harvey and Reba Mooney Bush at Ennis, Texas. He passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Denison, Texas at 67 years, 1 month and 8 days.

He graduated from Ennis High School. Kenneth worked in residential construction. He retired from Oklahoma Department of Corrections in 2003. Kenneth served his nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He married Mary Ellen McInis on April 20, 1973 at Ennis, Texas. They had 42 wonderful years together.

Kenneth attended Centrahoma Pentecostal Church of God and Temple Lighthouse in Temple, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, especially catfish, deer hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Bush of the home in Atoka, Oklahoma, sons, Daniel Bush and wife Judy of Caney, Oklahoma, Craig Bush and wife Sheila of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Joshua Bush and wife Reva of Lane, Oklahoma, sister, Nancy Scott and husband Jerry of Atoka, Oklahoma, brother, Jacky Lee Bush of Stillwater, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Tristian Bush of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Dravyn Bush of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Libbie Bush of Lane, Oklahoma, Dayzi Bush of Lane, Oklahoma, Kacey Howell of Commerce, Texas, Ashlie Blankenship and husband Jason of Greenville, Texas, Talan Malakowsky of Caney, Oklahoma and Jadin Malakowsky of Caney, Oklahoma, special friend, Jim Lyon and wife Monica of Atoka, Oklahoma, four great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Joe Matous along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Reba Mooney Bush, daughter, Tonya Howell, sisters, Betty Morris and husband Bill, May Belle Morris and husband Floyd "Mike" and Helen Matous, one infant brother and one infant sister.

Services 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 Brown's Funeral Chapel, Atoka, Oklahoma officiated by Bro. Roger Brown, Bro. Larry Beach and Bro Johnathan Hooker. Interment to follow at Tushka Cemetery, Tushka, Oklahoma.
