Mayme A. Peroutka, age 97, a former Francis Creek area resident died Saturday evening, Feb. 24, 2007, at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc. The former Mayme Wachal was born Sept. 26, 1909, at Kellnersville, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Krall Wachal. She grew up in Kellnersville, and attended St. Joseph Catholic grade school. On June 5, 1929, Mayme was married to John "Jack" Peroutka at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Jack preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1987. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek and the Francis Creek-Rockwood Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one daughter, Marlene Schultz of Two Rivers; four sons and daughters-in-law, John (Elaine) Peroutka of Manitowoc; Bill (Joyce) Peroutka of Manitowoc; Tom (Bonnie) Peroutka of rural Manitowoc; Greg (Faye) Peroutka of Whitelaw; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack; son-in-law: Don Schultz; three brothers: Quirin Wachal, Joseph Wachal, Alvin Wachal; three sisters: Ann Kutil; Clara Kugle; Molly Havlichek. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Rev. Paul Paider will celebrate the Mass of Christian
Burial, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is serving the Peroutka family.
