John Schuch was owner of the Schuch Hotel in Saginaw and a Saginaw historian. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.I, and was Saginaw County Sheriff, 1923-24. He served in the Michigan Legislature as state representative for Saginaw County's 1st District, 1943-46, and as State Senator for the 22nd District, 1947-50.
