June M. Leaveck, 79, a 14-year resident of Sierra Vista, AZ, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015.

She was born February 25, 1936, in Marinette, WI, to Napoleon “Bud” and Blanche (La Combe) Blanchette.

She was a Registered Nurse and retired in 1997 and an Avon district manager.

June’s interests were sewing, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and reading. June was very passionate with church functions and was involved with many church groups and ministries. She also loved to travel and visit with family and friends and have new adventures.

June is survived by a sister, Bonnie Wood; a son, Robert Leaveck; two daughters, Betty Leaveck and Ann-Marie Meadows; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two daughters, Michele Stratis and Barbara Simler; her parents, Napoleon “Bud” Blanchette and Blanche Erickson.

A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, with Fr. Mike officiating. A reception to follow. Burial will be at a later date in Marinette, WI.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jensen’s Sierra Vista Mortuary.
