He was born Dec. 4, 1904, in Menominee, Mich., the son of Robert and Leona Brearley. He was a member of the Detroit police force for nine years and a member of the Michigan State Police for one and a half years, prior to coming to Convert. Since residing here, he was employed as a well driller and school bus driver.
Mr. Brearley is survived by his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Knarian, of South Haven; a brother, Harry, also of South Haven, and a granddaughter, Virginia Mae.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. in the Calvin chapel Convert, with the Rev. William E. Goltz, retired minister of Hartford, officiating. The body will be taken to Chicago for cremation, with buried in the Oakwood cemetery there. Published in The News-Plallium, Benton Harbor, Michigan.
