Barbara Fetzer, of Putnam Lake, NY, died August 24, 2015 after a tragic accident at Putnam Hospital Center. She was 86 years old.
Barbara was born on April 12, 1929 in Romania. Daughter to the late Mike and Mary Muller. She moved to the United States in 1951.
Ms. Fetzer was a caterer at Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster, NY, for 31 years before retiring. She was also a local housekeeper for many families in the area.
Barbara was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Putnam Lake, she was a member of the Putnam Lake senior citizens and also the Putnam Lake fire department ladies auxiliary. Barbara was also a bell ringer with the salvation army.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Mary Hultay (George) of Westfield, MA, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Franz on Nov. 1, 1993.
A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence O' Toole Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday August 28, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster, NY.
