Professional Football Player. For eight seasons (1965 to 1972), he played at the tight end and tackle positions in the American and National Football Leagues with the Buffalo Bills. Born Sebastian Paul Costa, he attended Port Chester High School in New York and played collegiate football at the University of Notre Dame. Selected by the Green Bay Packers during the 4th round of the 1964 NFL Draft, he ended up with Buffalo. Costa's impact on the league was immediate, as he achieved Pro-Bowl status, while experiencing a world championship with the Bills in 1965. The following season, he earned Pro-Bowl honors a second time. In 100 regular season games, he compiled 102 receptions for 1,699 yards. After retiring from football, he attained a degree in Theology and served as a pastor. He died from prostate cancer.
