Donald E. Hayes Sr., 86, of Marinette, WI passed away October 13, 2015, at Bay Area Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born September 7, 1929 in Faithorn, Mich.
Donald served his country in the United States Army.
He married the former Dolores Sotka and she preceded him in death October 8, 2009. He enjoyed working on the family farm "Hayes Hog Haven".
Donald is survived by four daughters: Debbi Powers of Marinette, WI; Patti (Dean) Spencely of Charlevoix, MI; Cindy Powers and Diane (Ray) Bertrand, both of Marinette, WI;
five sons: Michael (Corina) Powers, Terry (Peggy) Powers, Ric Powers, Donald Hayes Jr. and Daniel (Dawn) Hayes, all of Marinette, WI;
two brothers: Martin Hayes and Pete (Lori) Hayes;
19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also survived by a sister-in-law, Jeannette Haymeister; and special friends, Debbie and Danny Rodgers and Darrel and Dawn LaPlant.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores; and a brother Raymond Hayes.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. with Sister Helen Plum SSND officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
