FUNERAL WEDNESDAY
At Methodist Church - Buried in Fairview Cemetery - is Survived by Ten Children - Well Known in Augusta.

Mrs. Elizabeth Richey, 68, died last night about 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Canfield, of 1100 North School street.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Kraft. Burial will be made in the Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Richey was born Feb 22, 1854 and came to Kansas with her parents and settled in Butler County 51 years ago. During her long residence in Butler County and in Augusta she made many friends, who will be shocked to hear of her death. Mrs. Richey had only been ill about a week and while her condition was serious it was not thought that death was so near. All day yesterday she called for her son, Orin of Hancock, N. Y., who arrived early last evening, just before his mother died.

Mr. Richey died 18 years ago and since that time Mrs. Richey has made her home among her children. She was a fond mother and devoted grandmother, was prominent in the church circles and will be greatly missed by her many associates in the church work.

She is survived by ten children, 7 sons, Calvin of Lapryor, Tex., Orin of Hancock, N. Y., Ira D. of Casper, Wyo., John W. of Augusta, Allen G. of Ocella, Fla., Fred and Robert R. both of Augusta and three daughters, Mrs. J. Canfield, of Augusta; Mrs. C. McCalla of near Augusta and Mrs. Lizzie Davis of Lapryor, Texas.
