Evelyn Shirley Jackson, 70, of Springfield died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at her home. She was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Louisiana, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin Jackson and Fannie E Russell
Miss Jackson was a housekeeper at Community Care for 15 years and Illini Country Club for more than 10 years. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors: son, Gary Barnette (wife, Diana) Jackson of Springfield; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia V. Jackson Bland of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: James D. Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Jonathan Franklin officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetary.
