Bossier City, LA – Brenda Jane Martin Hill, age 71, went to be with Jesus on Friday, October 16, 2015. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel with burial following at Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Carlton Gilmer of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship and outreach. The family will receive friends starting at 11:30 am Tuesday.

Brenda grew up attending Ingleside Baptist Church where she received Christ as her Savior. She was active in GA's and sang in the church choir. Brenda enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes, her favorite being for biscuits. Brenda had a sweet, calm spirit and was a great listener. She blessed her sister with Bible verses, one of her favorite being Numbers 6:24-26 "The Lord bless thee and keep thee, The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee, The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Martin Jr. and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Scott and husband Larry, Kathy Freeland and husband Willis, Nancy Schwalen and husband Mike. Brother Phil Martin and wife Kathy. Sister Cynthia "Cindy" Grau and husband Mark. And her longtime friend Tommy.

Pallbearers will be her nephews: Jonathan and Paul Martin, Chris, Martin and Lawson Grau, and Micah James. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matt and Caeden Trant
