Accident to a Lock Haven Man.
A Westport item in the Renovo News of Saturday says: “John Ludden of Lock Haven, while going up the mine railroad on a truck drawn by the engine, fell through on the track and was squeezed and otherwise injured internally. Dr. Weymouth was in attendance and we hope he will be able to bring John around all right soon. This is the first accident and we hope the last one.”

The residence of John and Patrick Ludden, corner of Jones and Clinton streets, caught fire on last Thursday (Oct. 9) morning between 12 and 1, supposed to have been caused by the explosion of a coal oil lamp. The roof was burned off and the building generally damaged beyond repair.

John Ludden died Tuesday afternoon of last week at his home, No. 131 South Jones street, of heart trouble and dropsy, aged 50 years. He is survived by one brother, Patrick, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Blake, Mrs. Maggie Flannigan, and Miss Sarah Ludden, all of this city. The funeral was held at 9 o’clock Thursday morning from the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Father J. N. Codori conducted the service and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
