Marie K. Kienbaum, 94,of Kiel died Tuesday morning October 20, 2015 at Oak Creek Assisted Living, Kiel were she had been a resident for the past 1 ½ years. She was born May 31, 1921 in Kiel, daughter of the late Rudolph & Elsie (Kautzer) Wendling.
Marie married Henry Balde Jr. on October 1, 1938 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1945. On July 19, 1947 she was united in marriage to Arno Kienbaum in Winneconne WI. Marie was employed for many years with Lake to Lake until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting dishcloths, was an avid gardener, enjoyed her houseplants and was a huge Brewer fan. Marie and Arno enjoyed traveling on bus trips around the country and Canada as well as camping together.
Survivors include her two daughters; Dorothy (Daniel) Klemme, Ruth (Robert) Arnold, two sons; David (Donna) Kienbaum, Daniel (Barbara) Kienbaum all of Kiel,
Marie is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, sisters and brother; Delores (Tony) Kauth, Elsie Arnold, Sylvia Anhalt, Barbara Schwind, Diane (Tom) Twohig, Nancy (Bob) Wier, Rudolph Wendling, sisters-in-law; Janet Wendling and Charlotte Dedering. Marie is further survived by many family members on the Kienbaum side along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by brothers; Glenroy (Elaine) & Jerome Wendling, sisters; Jeanette (Jack) Graf, Georgiana (Leroy) Breit, her step father; Elmer Dedering, step-brother; Bob Dedering, step-sister; Lois Dedering, brothers-in-law; Alfred "Speed" Anhalt, John Schwind and sister-in-law; Barbara Wendling.
Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
