Reba Hall was the second daughter and fourth children of Fred Wallace and Dinah Hedrick Hall. She was born January 10, 1903 in Hoyt, Jackson County, Kansas.
Reba attended school in Hoyt until she left for her college education. She graduated from Washburn University in 1924 at Topeka, Kansas. She taught at Kansas schools for four years and then went to Hawaii.
Mrs. Ridley was a volunteer worker with the Red Cross in Hawaii during the World War II serving as a night driver in the motor corps. She also aided in the military governor's gas rationing office. She was well known among the service personnel during the war since her home served as a "home away from home" for many of these men.
Reba taught at Liliukalani Junior High School, McKinley High School and the Roosevelt High School while living in Hawaii.
Mrs. Reba Ridley was a member of the Eastern Star of Hoyt and the Central Congregational Church of Topeka.
She retired last June due to ill health.
Reba passed away June 28, 1957 in the Kansas City Hospital.
Surviving are three brothers, Frank Hall of Hoyt; George Hall of Belleville and Robert J Hall who is in France with the U. S. Army; Two sisters, Minnie Hall of Topeka and Dorothy Williams of Hoyt. Mrs. Ella Hall, Topeka, step-mother.
