Clee Earnest Allman is the son of John V. Allman and Cordelia Potter Allman.

He was the husband of Tressie Novell Hardeman Allman. They were married on June 05, 1918 in Calhoun County, Alabama

CLEE E. ALLMAN

Clee E. Allman, 61, 1307 Hill Avenue, died yesterday at 2:25 p.m. in a local hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel, Dr. McCoy Guthrie and Rev. L.A. Waits officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be H.J. Moore, Vertie Brannon, Hoyt Roden, J.L. Gilbert, C.F. Johnston, and Frank Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. J.O. Finney, Dr. William Simpson, Dr. W.T. Talley, Joe D. Hughes, John Kinghten, W.A. Chaffie, Woodie Duncan, Frank Little, Curtis Moorer, J.M. Swafford, members of mens Sunday School class of Central Methodist Church, members of American Legion Post 5, No. one and No. two fire stations and accounting department of Republic Steel Corp, and VFW Post 2760.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tressie Hardman Allman; two sons, R. Harold and Bill J. Allman, Gadsden; a daughter, Mrs. Joe A. Hughes, Gadsden; two brothers, Annis Allman, Dalton, Ga., and N.B. Allman, Miami Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Buena Webb, Huntsville; Mrs. Carrie Frost, Parke, Ark.; Mrs. Math Gowens, Spartanburg, S.C.; and Mrs. Mary Block, Steele; three grandchildren.

Mr. Allman was an accountant at Republic Steel for 37 years, a member of the Central Methodist Church, American Legion Post 5, Whorton-Dykes VFW Post 2760, a veteran of WWI. He had lived in Gadsden for 42 years.
