Louis Cootway, 73, of 2408 Clark St., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon at home after a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc the Rev. Clement Kern officiating. Burial will be in Francis Creek National Cemetery, where the Manitowoc American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 will conduct graveside military services.

Mr. Cootway was born April 11, 1888, at Manitowoc, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tuft Cootway. He worked with his father in the livery business at Manitowoc as a young man and later farmed in the Town of Kossuth. He married Blanche Chloupek Dec. 26, 1914, at Manitowoc and she preceded him in death in 1955. He had stopped farming in 1947, when he returned to Manitowoc, and was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. of Manitowoc until his retirement in 1953. Mr. Cootway was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Fred Jehle, of Manitowoc; a brother, Tuft Jr., of Detroit, and a grandson.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Chloupek-Cootway
At the Presbyterian manse today, Miss Blanch Chloupek and Lewis Cootway were married by Rev. Axtell. The couple departed on a honeymoon trip and will make their home in Kossuth upon their return.
The bride has been employed at the offices of Pauly & Pauly. The groom is a son of T. Cootway.

Miss Blanche Chloupek of Mishicot and Mr. Louis Cootwey of Kossuth were married Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian parsonage, Rev. M.S. Axtell officiating.
The attendants were Miss Lillian Chloupek and Victor Chloupek, sister and brother of the bride.
After the ceremony, the couple left on a wedding trip.
They will reside on a farm in Kossuth.
