Lorraine Reno, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, died early on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center.

The former Lorraine Ouradnik was born on Sept. 9, 1923, in the town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, daughter of the late William and Violet (Popelka) Ouradnik. She was a 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. Lorraine was employed at Westphals and Napps Office Supply before her marriage. On June 19, 1946, Lorraine married Leonard Reno at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 1999. She was a member of the Two Rivers Community Center and AARP. Lorraine enjoyed polka dancing, parades, crossword puzzles, TV game shows, baking, and loved to entertain her family.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law: Leon (Kathy) Reno, Manitowoc, and Leland Reno, Manitowoc and his fiancée, Linda Synon; Mary Reno, Manitowoc; three daughters and three sons-in-law: Loralee (George) Engelhardt, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Linda (Dave) Groelle, Manitowoc; and Luanne (Brian) Konsela, Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren: Mitch, Eric, Jodie, Brandon, Alex, Chris, Mike, Cory, Nicole, Josh and Heidi; three great-grandsons: Damien, Brasen and Quinten; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Jack Ouradnik, Illinois, Melvin (Shirley) Ouradnik, Manitowoc, Leonard Gary (Sandy) Ouradnik, Mishicot, and Alvina Ouradnik, Manitowoc; five sisters and two brothers-in-law: Hazel Arneman, Manitowoc; Mary Ann Landt, Manitowoc; Joan (Harlas "Buddy") Luckow, Manitowoc; Jane Kracht, Two Rivers; and Shirley (Alan) Barner, Two Rivers; and one sister-in-law: Gladys Reno, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard Reno; one son: Leroy Reno; two brothers and one sister-in-law: William Ouradnik Jr., and Tom (Gertie) Ouradnik; and three sisters and three brothers-in-law: Norma (Archie) Brouchoud; Evelyn (Harold) Hammerberg; and Helen (Eugene) Peters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at the Jens Family Funeral Home, 1122 S. 8th St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Marc Axelrod, pastor of Peace Evangelical Reformed Church of Potter, will officiate. Burial will follow at Kossuth No. 1 Cemetery in the town of Kossuth.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

A special thank you to her sister, Hazel, for all her help after Leonard passed away.
