Mary Esther (Thacker) Anderson, age 81, of Clovis, CA, went to the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Mary was born on June 15, 1934, in Mt. Clemens, MI, the only daughter of Charles and Dolores (Westberg) Thacker. Mary moved around with her parents until they arrived in Fresno, CA. Mary graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno, CA. Mary met her husband, Roy Anderson, during her senior year of high school and they were married for 51 years. Mary worked as a Librarian at St. Helen's Elementary School for many years. She was involved with the Class of 1953 Roosevelt Reunion Committee until she lost her vision. Mary was a member of the Catholic Daughters No. 1661, and American Legion Auxiliary, Post 147 of Clovis. For the past 11 years, Mary was a resident at the Willow Creek Health Care Center. Mary loved her family, books, Boston Terriers and the San Francisco 49ers. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores (Westberg) Thacker, in 1964; her father, Charles Thacker, in 1970; and her husband, Roy Anderson, in 2004. Mary is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Anderson) Worstein; son-in-law, Robert Worstein; three grandchildren, Jason Worstein and his wife Cynthia, Thomas Collins and his wife Jennifer, and Timothy Collins; four great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Lane and Abigail Worstein, and Ty Collins. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, November 13, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Clovis Cemetery.
