Enlisted March 26, 1941 and trained at Ft Meade, SD in the 4th Cavalry back in the days they still served with horses. Later became mechanized unit and trained in the California desert. Then onto Texas and then New Jersey and finally England where he died less than two months prior to the DDAY invasion.
