Musician. He was a well respected and noted drummer best known for being a member of the rock group The Knack. In 1979, The Knack's debut album "Get the Knack" which included the hit single "My Sharona", sold 6 million copies. After the breakup of The Knack in the early 1980s, he became a much in-demand drummer for studio and live work. He recorded or performed with artist Dr. John, Stephen Stills, Sheryl Crow, Jack Bruce, Rod Stewart, George Harrison, Bob Dylan and many others. He was also a successful record producer, being nominated for two Grammy Awards in recognition for his work as a producer.
