Walter Alfred Windiate is the son of John Windiate & Violet Walter. He was born in Flin tin 1896. Walter married Ann Kate Matheny in Highland Park on December 22, 1921. They divorced in Flint in 1928.

He died in Flint in 1955 and is buried in Grace Lawn Community Cemetery in Flint.
