Mrs. Emily Tesarik, 66, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, a mile west of Francis Creek, died at her home Sunday night. She had been in failing health for more than a year.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. Ortwin Hanson, Manitowoc, officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Bohemian National Cemetery.
Mrs. Tesarik, nee Emily Pivonka, was born April 16, 1895, at Krok, Kewaunee County, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Tomandl Pivonka. She was married 43 years ago at Manitowoc to Henry Tesarik after which the couple took up their home on the Tesarik homestead farm in the Town of Kossuth. Her husband died 20 years ago, losing his life when gored by a bull on the farm. Mrs. Tesarik was a member of the ZCBJ of Melnik and the Unity of Bohemian Ladies and Men and the Germania Society of Manitowoc.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Stock of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Paul Leist of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; a son, Kenneth on the home farm; a sister, Mrs. Andrew Brunswick of Iron River, Mich., three brothers, Frank of West De Pere, Thomas of Muskegon, Mich., and Edward of Gaastra, Mich., and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
