William C. Shrout
William C. SHROUT, 88, Akron, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the Miller nursing home in Peru. He had been ill six years.
Born Nov. 6, 1885 in Kentucky, he was the son of Albert and Livia WRIGHT SHROUT. His wife, Laura [SHROUT], preceded in death in 1945. He was a member of the Akron Church of God.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Verna) BAMMERLIN,Akron; Mrs. Bill (Christine) McFARLAND, Sylmar, Cal.; four sons, Emerson [SHROUT], Jonesboro; Adrian [SHROUT], Lake Hughes, Cal. Rev. Irvin [SHROUT], of Fresno, Cal., and William SHROUT Jr., Portland, Ore.; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. One son preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Haupert funeral home in Akron. The Rev. J.D. TOMASON will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
