Ed moved to Marinette with his family as a child. He was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1958. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard before transferring to active duty with the United States Army and was deployed to Korea.
After he returned to the area, he married the former Letha J. Campbell on November 26, 1966.
He worked as a welder and carpenter for many years as an employee of various area companies. Ed was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, trapping and had hunted in earlier years.
Ed is survived by his wife, Letha;
three children and two grandchildren:
Lisa Ames of Green Bay, Wis. and her children: Teischa and Teianna;
Edward Carriveau, Jr. of Marinette, Wis.
and Todd Carriveau of Renton, Wash.;
one brother Ronald (Candi) Carriveau of Indiana;
one sister Donna (Darrell) Doberstein of Marinette, Wis.;
and two sisters-in-law: Shirley Carriveau of Manitowoc, Wis. and Maxine Carriveau of Menominee, Mich.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Arnold and Robert.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home, Marinette, Wis., after 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening in the funeral home with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating.
