Among other groups he recorded and sang for were Crimson Glory, Dark Star, Crush, Dr. Ruth, Erotic Liquid Culture and Mannekin. VanLanding, who was scheduled to rejoin Schenker on a tour in early 2016, died from injuries suffered in a car accident.
