PIONEER OF KOSSUTH DIES IN CITY SUNDAY

Leonard Foerster, 74, Resided in Town for 40 Years


Leonard Foerster, a pioneer settler of the town of Kossuth, and for forty years a well known farmer of the town, removing to the city five years ago, died at his home 1221 South Fifteenth street, Sunday, death following a long illness due to general breakdown from age. Mr. Foerster was 74 years old at his death.

Decedent was born at Neuhof, Germany, April 23, 1840, and came to Manitowoc in 1867. He located in Kossuth and for years owned a large farm. Five years ago he retired and removed to this city where his wife died a year later.

Mr. Foerster is survived by eight children, Mrs. Otto Mueller, Kossuth; Mrs. Emil Miller, city; Mrs. Henry Meyer, Branch; Mrs. A. Salveson, Newton; Mrs. W. Krause, Mrs. George Beck, Miss Augusta Foerster, city; Conrad Foerster, Kossuth. Six grand-children also survive.

The funeral will be held Wednesday with burial from the home of his son, Conrad Foerster, at Kossuth.

Leonhard Foerster, an old settler of the county died at his home, South 15th street, Sunday morning, aged 74 years. He was born in Germany in 1840 and came to this county in 1867, locating in Milwaukee. Later on he moved to Kossuth, this county, where he reside up to five years ago, when he removed to this city.

The deceased is survived by seven daughters and one son, Mrs. Otto Mueller of Kossuth; Mrs. Emil Miller, Mrs. Henry Meyer, Mrs. William Krause, Mrs. George Beck, Miss Augusta Foerster, all of this city; Mrs. Andrew Salverson of Newton, and Conrad Foerster of Kossuth.

The funeral was held from the home of his son, Conrad Foerster, in the town of Kossuth, Wednesday afternoon, at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. George Grethers officiating.

Notice To Creditors:
Letters testamentary on said estate having been issued to Conrad Foerster and William Krause, on the 27th day of February, A.D. 1914, and six months from and after said day being allowed and limited for creditors to present their claims, of which notice is hereby given, and further that the undersigned will, on the first day of September, A.D. 1914, at the Probate Office in the City of Manitowoc, in said County, examine and adjust all such claims and demands so presented and filed.

In the matter of the Estate of Leonhard Foerster, deceased.
On the application of Conrad Foerster and William Krause, executors of the estate of Leonhard Foerster, deceased, for the allowance and adjustment of their accounts, for the determination of the inheritance tax, and for the assignment of the residue of the estate.
It Is Ordered, that said application and the matters therein be heard and determined at a special term of said Court, at the Court House in said county, in the city of Manitowoc, on the second Tuesday of October, A.D., 1914, at the opening of court on that day, or as soon thereafter as said matter can be heard:
And it Is Further Ordered, that notice thereof be given to all persons interested by publication hereof, three weeks before said term, in the Manitowoc Pilot, a weekly newspaper published in the city of Manitowoc, in said County.
And by mailing notice hereof to the tax commission, not less than twenty days before such hearing.
