Elmer Groelle, 74, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he was a patient a week.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc, the Rev. T.P. Crusius officiating, and burial will be in Kossuth Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Groelle was born Aug. 18, 1890, in the Town of Newton, son of the late Frederick and Emma Schmitz Groelle. He resided in Manitowoc County all his life. He married the former Helena Maas in 1926 at Manitowoc. He farmed in the Town of Newton and retired in 1954.

Survivors are his wife, two sons, Reinhard, of Manitowoc and Harley of Two Rivers; two brothers, Walter, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc and Reynold, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc; two sisters, Miss Ada Groelle and Mrs. John Boeckman, of Manitowoc and 15 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday and then at the church.
