Mr. Elton R. Hardrath, age 73, of 5908 CTH R, Rockwood, died Monday evening, February 28, 1994, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 1994, from Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev Glenn H. Unke will officiate and burial will be at the Kossuth Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born April 7, 1920, in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County, son of the late George E. and Erma Boettger Hardrath. He grew up and attended school at Rockwood and was employed at Eastman Company for almost 30 years retiring in 1983. Elton was united in marriage to Marcella R. Shimanek on June 18, 1947, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, by Rev. T.F. Uetzman. They celebrated over 46 years of marriage together. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and a volunteer with the Rockwood Fire Fighters for many years. Elton enjoyed his gardening and dancing and mostly his family.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella, of Rockwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Arik Hansen, Two Rivers; Howard and Donna Hardrath, Dean and Julie Hardrath, Leroy and Diana Hardrath, all of Manitowoc; eight grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Donald Frenz, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Elton was preceded in death by a brother, George Hardrath, and a sister, Audrey Frenz.
Friends may call at the Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
