John Peterik,78, of Valders, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gorman Lex of Valders. He had been ill six weeks. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Berge Funeral Home. The Rev. Allan L. Bowe of Kiel will officiate and burial will be in Kossuth Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Peterik was born at Chicago, December 15, 1881 and was employed 32 years by Allwood Lime Co. of Rockwood – illegible-- ago and made his home with his son-in-law and daughter.

He married Minnie Arnholz August 29, 1906. She died in 1953. A daughter, Edna also preceded him in death.

Survivors are a son, Charles of Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Gorman Lex of Valders; a brother, James of Chicago; a sister, Barbara Hume of Montrose, Mich.; two grandchildren, a step-grandson and two step great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm Friday.

Funeral services for John Peterik, 72, of Valders, who died Wednesday were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Berge Funeral Home, Valders. The Rev. Allen Bowe of Kiel officiated and burial was in Kossuth Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Ryan Sr., Frank and George Gosz, Robert Kiel, Eugene Stangel and Emmett Rodewald.

Shoto
Tuesday, Oct. 30, the marriage of John Peterik and Minnie Arnholz, both of Shoto, was celebrated at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Arnholz. The couple was attended by George Peterik and Erna Arnholz.
After the ceremony a wedding supper was served after which Mr. and Mrs. Peterik left for Oconto Falls on a wedding trip.
