THE ENTRY:

RICKY ANTONIA LAMARR, SR. was born July 24, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio. He was the 5th child
born to Irven and Elizabeth (Towns) LaMarr.

THE DEPARURE:

The final chapter of Ricky ‘s life came to a close at the age of fifty two, as he answered the call from the Master, which came on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the 11th o’clock hour at his home with his loving mother, his Pastor and his wife at his side. .

THE PERIOD OF PREPARATION:
Ricky confessed his faith in Christ as a teenager and was baptized at the Family Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Aljunius Leggett. Having a burning desire to fuller understand baptism, he came forward to rededicate his life to Christ and to be re-baptized by Pastor Frederick V. LaMarr. He was actively involved in the Christian Education Department, Encouragers Male Chorus. Big Rick as he was called was a young man that loved the Lord and his family. He received his secondary education in the Columbus Public School and received higher education from The Walnut Ridge High School and Columbus Business University. He was employed with Nationwide Insurance Columbus, Ohio, and he was employed by Jim Oxley Concrete .

THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE:
Ricky was united in Holy Matrimony to his childhood sweetheart, Ronda (Thurston) LaMarr September
6, 2003. They enjoyed sharing their love with two daughters and one son . Two lovely grandchildren.

HIS LEGACY:

Ricky’s life was enriched though the many individuals he came in contact with. He never met anyone that he did not befriend. He will long be remembered as a caring and giving individual, one who never complained, one who always put the needs of others before his own.

Ricky is predeceased by his father, Irven LaMarr II, grand-parents, Rev. Bennie Ray Towns, Evangelist Coudia Towns, sister, Betty Louise Wager, brother, Carlos Dwayne LaMarr (Jacqueline) LaMarr, uncles, Charles Robert Towns, Bennie Ray Towns Jr, Riley T. Towns, aunts, Annie B. Towns, Ruth (Robert) Jones, twin aunts, Mary & Martha Towns, Nephews, Andre Keith LaMarr, and Robert Dwayne Williams.
