DAUGHTER FINDS MOTHER DEAD IN BED
Found dead in bed by her daughter as she went to call her this morning for breakfast, Mrs. Henry Sprick, aged 82 years, who, since the death of her husband two years ago has been making her home with the daughter, was a victim of a heart attack, early today at the daughter’s home. Mrs. August Gauger in the town of Kossuth. She has been in fairly good health the past several weeks although complaining of feeling weak the past few days.
The maiden name of the deceased was Sophia Walters and she was born in Hanover, Germany, coming to this country with her parents, and locating at Milwaukee in 1853. In 1870 she came to Kossuth and was married to Henry Sprick, locating on a farm in the town where they continued to reside until the latter’s death.
Besides the daughter, Mrs. August Gauger and two grandchildren, one brother, Fred Walters of Milwaukee also survives.
Burial will take place Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the Gauger home and at two o’clock from the Lutheran church at Rockwood, Rev. Sell officiating.
