To see this place, anyone would say it is a cemetery, There is a fenced in area about 1/4 acre is size. A large headstone with "Stowers" stands on it and two flat markers with names on them. They were both wives of Charles Stowers and their pioneer home was located close by. The Stowers family came to South Fork Township in Adams County in 1906. They settled in Section 30. They had a store that sold provisions, a post office and a livestock business.
Their children were: Mason, Florence, Nora W, Helen R, Clara, and Lois. In 1917? Lillie Stowers became ill, and moved out to Los Angeles to live with her sister. In 1919, she died and was buried there. Rather than a gravestone, this is a memorial marker. It was built by Charles Stowers, sometime after 1926.
