ANTHONY BALZANI

Anthony Balzan, 80, of Rockwood, died Friday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haen will officate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88.

Mr. Balzan was born Aug. 7, 1892, in Italy, a son of the late Gaspro and Marie Balzan. He emigrated to the United States at the age of 18. He settled in Chicago originally and then moved to Rockwood where he worked at the Rockwood Lime Co., retiring at the age of 67. Mr. Balzan was a member of St. Anne Parish and the American Legion.

Survivors include a brother, Joseph, of Italy and a cousin, Dominic, of Rockwood. A sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday. Prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
