MRS. STEVEN BERGEL DIES
Funeral Services To Be Held Friday At Francis Creek
Mrs. Steven Bergel, 81, a resident of the county for over 70 years, died Tuesday night at the homestead farm in Kossuth, now operated by her son, Frank. She had been in poor health for 18 months.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the home and 9:30 o'clock from the St. Ann's church, Francis Creek. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Born in Bohemia
Mrs. Bergel, whose maiden name was Mary Kaska, was born in Bohemia in 1855 and when a girl of 10 accompanied her parents to America. They located in this county. In 1873, she married Steven Bergel and they moved to the homestead farm on Route 2, Two Rivers. Mr. Bergel died 31 years ago.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Anna Moss, Monroe, Wis.; a son, Frank, Kossuth; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
