Mrs. Phyllis L. Braun, 79, of ?? N. ?? Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, January 14, 1990 at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. A memorial mass will be 11 am Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Presiding at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Donald Schneider. Cremation will have taken place and burial of the cremains will take place later in St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.
Phyllis L. Shimek was born May 18, 1908 in the Town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Muench Shimek and married Edwin J. Braun on June 28, 1932 at St. Anne Catholic Church. The couple moved to Manitowoc in ??. Mrs. Braun had been employed by Globe Laundry for ?? years, retiring in 197? She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America. Her husband preceded her in death on June 8, 1964.
Survivors include a son, Arthur of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Leonard Shimek of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Jerome (Anna) Hutterer of Rockwood, Wisconsin and Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Hutterer of rural Manitowoc and three grandchildren.
The family will greet friends at the church from 10:15 am Saturday to the time of services at 11 am. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with arrangements.
