Bonnie Ruth Johnson, 79, of Harviell, Mo., passed away Nov. 29, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Aug. 2, 1936 in Corning, Ar. to the late Charles and Myrtle Mabry. She worked in the Superintendents office as the secretary in the Naylor School system. She was a member of the Elm Grove General Baptist Church in Naylor, where she had taught Sunday school. She enjoyed helping her husband in church ministry, quilting, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On Sept. 2, 1954 she married Leroy “Jack” Johnson in Pontiac, MI. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1997.

She is survived by her children, Doug Johnson and wife Suzanne of Naylor, Rodney Johnson and wife Virginia of Naylor; 1 sister, Patricia Foust and husband Ralph Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; brothers, Don Mabry and wife Beverly of Van Buren, Dwayne Mabry and wife Ruth Ann of Jackson, Mo.; Grandchildren, Ashley VanEs and husband Mark, Hilary Butler and husband Dustin, Caleb Johnson and wife Kearstin, Ryan Johnson and wife Lauren; as well as 4 great grandchildren, Hunter, Ryder, Shelby, and Jackson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00p.m. at the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel in Neelyville on Dec. 2, 2015. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thurs. with Dennis Bell and Bryan Johnson officiating. Burial will be held at Naylor Memorial Cemetery.
