Carol (Bitsie) Dvorak, age 61, of 415 Forest Home Dr., Francis Creek, passed away early Monday morning, November 15, 1999, at her home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 1999, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Rev. Theodore Hendricks will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Carol was born December 1, 1937, at Wauwatosa, Wis., daughter of Isabelle Welnetz Engeldinger and the late John Engeldinger. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc with the class of 1956. Carol was employed at the Manitowoc Engineering Company, IBM Dept. prior to her marriage. On April 4, 1959. Carol was married Francis Dvorak, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, with Rev. Donald Rose officiating The couple farmed in the town of Kossuth for 31 years. Francis preceded her in death on July 24, 1990. Carol was an active member of St. Anne Parish, Francis Creek.
Survivors include her mother, Isabelle Engeldinger, Manitowoc; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Dvorak, Francis Creek, and his fiancée, Marge Micke, Dan and Brenda Dvorak, Francis Creek, Jim and Christine Dvorak, rural Whitelaw; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mark Schelwat, Mariel, Jill and Duane Theune, Manitowoc, Norita Schwarzenbart, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Margie and Ray Schmitt, Francis Creek. Shirley and Jack Haese, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville on Tuesday, (TONIGHT) from 4-8 p.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Ted and also on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
A special thanks from Carol to Dr. Ruh, Dr. Barylak, at the Oncology Unit, and all the many wonderful nurses at the clinic for all the encouragement they gave me. Thanks also to the Visiting Nurses Association who came to my house and took good care of me.
A special note to my family, you are all very important to me. I am grateful for all the loving, caring support you gave me at the most difficult time of my life.
