Francis (Knobby) Dvorak, 54, of 11000 Parkway Lane, Whitelaw, (Francis Creek), died Tuesday, July 24, 1990.

Mr. Dvorak was born May 21, 1936 in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late William and Clara Havlichek Dvorak. He graduated from Mishicot High School in 1954. He married the former Carol Engeldinger at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc on April 4, 1959. He was a farmer in the Town of Kossuth. For over 30 years he played with many bands as a tuba player and for the last eight years, for the Reiny Gaedtke Band.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cheri, Francis Creek; Dan and Brenda, Francis Creek; James and Christine, Whitelaw; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Mark Schelwat, Maribel and Jill Dvorak at home; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Stephanie Dvorak; Vanessa and Tiffany Schelwat; Julie, Amanda and Michael Dvorak; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Ray Schmit, Francis Creek; Shirley and Jack Haese, Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Grace.

Funeral services are Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek at 10:30 a.m. preceded by family rites at 10 a.m. at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville. Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
