Paul M. Gruber, age 76, of Francis Creek, died Monday, July 3, 2006, at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Paul Paider will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Paul was born April 20, 1931, son of the late Anton and Anna Augustine Gruber. Paul attended schools in Mishicot and graduated with the class of 1949 from Mishicot High School. He was an assessor for the town of Kossuth. He worked for the Laddish Company in Milwaukee. He then went to work for the Mirro Aluminum Company in 1951. In 1960, Paul came back to farm in Francis Creek on the home farm. He loved to do genealogy.
Survivors include one brother and two sisters-in-law: Norb (LuAnn) Gruber, Francis Creek; Anita Gruber, Madison; nieces and nephews: Jim Gruber, Francis Creek; Linda (Scott) Witczak, Francis Creek; Rick (Lori) Gruber, Francis Creek; Deann (Laura) Gruber, New Orleans; Gary (Pat) Gruber, Madison; Cindy (Ephram III) Braley, Texas; great-nieces and nephews: Dillion and Kayla Witczak, Tyler Gruber, all of Francis Creek; Robert and Jennifer Braley, Texas; Dana, Hunter, Skyler, Britney, all of Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Mike Gruber.
