Joseph Ervin Delsman, age 72, Town of Kossuth resident died peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2001 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Rev. Theodore Hendricks will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of his cremated remains at the Parish Cemetery.

Joseph was born August 16, 1928 at Manitowoc , son of the late Joseph W. & Mathilda Zipperer Delsman. He grew up in the town of Kossuth, was educated at St. Anne Catholic School and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. He was employed at the Valders Co-op, the Manitowoc Company and retired from the Dean Brennan Transportation Co. On January 31, 1951 he was married to Lorraine M. Kvitek at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. They celebrated 50 years together. He was a member of St. Anne Parish, Francis Creek; a former town of Kossuth supervisor, involved as an umpire in the Manitowoc County baseball league, formerly active as a Boy Scouts leader, an avid deer and small game hunter he also enjoyed raising and training Beagles. He was a member of the Francis Creek-Rockwood Senior Citizens and was an enthusiastic sheepshead player.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Lorraine, their children Jean (Steve) Brazzale, Stevens Point; Greg (Beverly) Delsman, Manitowoc; Dean (Cynthia) Delsman, Green Bay; Douglas (Becky) Delsman, Cato; Mary Jo (Kurt) Johnson, Indianapolis; Julie (Ronald) Luebke, Phoenix, AZ; Christine (David) Clark, Manitowoc; Joseph D. Delsman, Cato; and his fiance Rosanne Koltz; Marc (Michelle) Delsman, Racine; Tina (Daniel) Wagner, Manitowoc. Fifteen grandchildren: Jason and Adam Brazzale, Andrea (Christopher) Dvorachek, Zachary Delsman, Nathan and Tyler Wicihowski, Shannon, Tara and Stacey Delsman, Dustin and Dylan Delsman, Lauren Clark, Lucas Delsman and Olivia and Ian Wagner. Great grandson: Nicholas Wicihowski. Brothers and sisters include: Kenneth (Elaine) Delsman, Manitowoc; Gwen (Robert) Braun, Manitowoc: Janice (Hector) Hunt, Madison; Howard (Ruth) Delsman, rural Manitowoc; David (Gladys) Delsman, Manitowoc. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Victor (Betty) Kvitek, Maribel; Dorothy (LeRoy) Krejcarek, Two Rivers; Olive (Norbert) Kretton, Mishicot. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek until the time of service at 11 a.m.
