Mr. Dawson was born in Christian County, KY and was a 1978 graduate of Trigg County High School and received his MBA from the University of Kentucky. He attended Southland Christian Church and was a volunteer in the Kentucky SIDS Network. Survivors other than his wife include two children, Madeline "Maddie" Dawson, and Charles "Chase" Fenton Dawson, III; his father and stepmother, Charles "Fox" and Sandy Dawson, Roaring Springs, KY; his mother and stepfather, Grace Lane and Dalton Hancock, Cadiz, KY; maternal grandparents, Gaylon and Myra Hargrove, also of Cadiz; a sister, Pam (Deano) Oliver, Roaring Springs; two brothers, Layton (Molly) Dawson, Roaring Springs, and Mont (Kecia) Dawson, Louisville; two stepbrothers, Scott (Sandra) Hancock, and Boyd Hancock, both of Hopkinsville; mother-in-law, Janice Bentley, Lexington; father-in-law, Lewie L. Bentley, Sr., Memphis; three sisters-in-law, Pam (Billy) Adams, Maysville, Cindy Bentley Watkins, Lexington, and Kari (Harlan) Betlesky, Memphis; a brother-in-law, Brandon B. Bentley, also of Memphis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Lewie "Lee" Bentley; and a niece, Lauren Lee Watkins. He died on Comair Flight 5191.
